A bit about myself – I’m a registered breeder based in rural Victoria (Swan Hill area). We live on a small farm with plenty of space for us and our dogs. Our family is very passionate about dachshund dogs we only have dachshunds at our property.
About this breed – historically Dachshunds are scent hound dogs bred to hunt badgers and other tunnelling animals, rabbits, and foxes. Hunters even used packs of Dachshunds to trail wild boar. Today their versatility makes them excellent family companions, show dogs, and small-game hunters. These comical and entertaining dogs love to play games and have a great sense of humour. They are very loyal little dogs, which are attached to their family, and they firmly believe that sleeping under the bedcovers is in the Dachshund Bill of Rights. They are usually good with other family pets and great with kids of any ages.
Our dogs are often handled by our children ages 5 to 14 and they love to have a chance to play with the puppies. The puppies will be used to people / children and will be partially toilet trained.
We are keen for our puppies to go to good homes. Prices are negotiable and we may be able to accommodate with delivery depending on where you are.
