Scams and Safety
If you have been a victim of fraud you should immediately go to your local authority, file a report with the Police, and keep the reference number for your records. PetsForHomes will happily do our best to provide them with any additional information if necessary.
You should also take a screenshot of the ad for your records, and send us an email at. Please include in this email any information that you have regarding the ad and the user in suspect, so that we can take internal action in ensuring the safety of PetsForHomes users.
Before you file a report to the police, we suggest that you try and resolve the issue directly with the seller. In some instances, it may be the case of miscommunication or slow response on their behalf.
You can visit your local police station in person, or telephone them through their non emergency contact number. The police will need the name and contact details of yourself and the other person, as well as any additional information, i.e. nature and date of the offence, as well as details of any exchanges made.
Please get the relevant Police authorities to get in contact with us at. Once you have filed a report, PetsForHomes will do our best to provide them with any relevant information to assist in their investigation.
