Our beautiful dog Ollie, (also known as Oliver, Olive, Wollive, Wol, Shitface & Big Dog) is in need of a new home. After change in circumstances in relation to our personal lives and Ollies temperament as he has aged, we very sadly need to find him a new loving home. This has not been an easy decision however we feel that Ollies quality of life is currently poor and that he would be better off in a more suitable environment for him.
Ollie is a 7 year old Great Done x Labrador. He has been with his current owners since he was a puppy and in this time has lived a very luxurious life. He is a predominantly indoor dog who is toilet trained and crate trained. Ollies favourite place to relax is on the bed and thrives when in the company of humans. He loves a game of fetch or a good marrow bone to chew, he also enjoys sleeping for 20 hours of most days.
Ollies ideal new home:
- With someone that is home a majority of the time and doesn’t leave for long periods of time. (4 hours at a time)
- Someone who is willing to let him sleep on the bed and be indoors.
- Someone who can commit to continuing his training & has a calm temperament.
- A property that is in a quite location with a secure yard.
- No children or other pets.
Like everyone, Ollie has a few quirks such as barking occasionally at new sounds or getting overly excitable when a new person enters the home. There is training in this area that has been getting done and that will need to continue. This is also much better when he has had enough play/ company.
He does get anxious when left and for this reason we are suggesting he would be most suited to a couple where one person works from home, ideally on a property not street facing.
Ollie does come with a lot of great quirks also, such as being a fantastic big or little spoon or always cleaning up the kitchen floor immediately when scraps are dropped. He’s an extremely caring, loving companion who wants nothing more then to be around his humans at all times.
We are happy talk the right person through any questions that they might have, an inspection of the new home would be necessary.
