About Me & Why I Breed Cavaliers Hi, I’m Vanessa, the proud breeder behind Sweet Valley Cavaliers, located on the beautiful Gold Coast, Queensland. My love for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels began with my beautiful girl, Pepper. From the moment she became part of our family, I completely fell in love with the breed. Her affectionate nature, gentle temperament, cheeky personality and absolute devotion to her family showed me just how special Cavaliers truly are. For me, breeding Cavaliers is about so much more than producing beautiful puppies. I want to raise happy, healthy, confident and well-socialised puppies who are prepared for life with their new families from the very beginning. Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our family, surrounded by everyday household life, children, other dogs and plenty of love and attention. As they grow, I put a great deal of time into their development, including socialisation, toilet training, crate training, independent play and introducing them to different experiences to help make the transition into their forever homes as smooth as possible. Responsible breeding is incredibly important to me. I am continually learning about the Cavalier breed, genetics, DNA testing and breed-specific health conditions so that I can make thoughtful and responsible decisions when planning future litters. One of the most rewarding parts of breeding is watching each puppy develop their own little personality and then finding the family that feels just right for them. Saying goodbye is never easy, but knowing they are going to homes where they will be loved and treasured makes it worthwhile. My goal for Sweet Valley Cavaliers is simple: to raise beautiful Cavaliers with wonderful temperaments and give every puppy the very best start in life. Once you have loved a Cavalier, it is very easy to understand why people say one is never enough.
