Southwest (Bluewing Chesapeakes) breeder of Chesapeake Bay retrievers for hunting show or as family dogs. Pups have been to homes as pets, disability support, psychological support and working dogs. My dogs travel with me hunting and as companions where ever possible including to my work place every day and as such are well socialised. Living on property they are regularly exercised in field work, swimming and socialised with other animals. Teal mother of this litter, has been featured in the 2022 Beretta Calendar and other publications as well as having a successful hunting season. I also have a prodigy of the 2022 litter you can see and meet. While these dogs are loyal and keen hunting dogs who work well in extreme conditions, they are social animals, if hunting is not your taste I am just as happy to see my pups go to a good home and family.
We expose our puppies to different environments, people, and other animals to help them become well-adjusted adults. Our structured socialisation program helps inculcate confidence and good behaviour in our puppies, ensuring they grow to be sociable, friendly, and adaptable dogs.
Our fishes have a stimulating environment with plants, rocks, or driftwood to encourage natural behaviours. We offer them a varied diet that mimics the natural diet of the species to improve their health and vitality.
Our breeding program is rooted in ethical practices that prioritise the welfare of our dogs. We maintain a clean, safe, and loving environment for our dogs to live, play, and grow, and our animals have warm bedding, fresh water, ample space to exercise, and natural lighting.
