This wonderful working breed is generally not suitable or easily adjusted for suburban living and to avoid boredom and poor social habits, they will need a good deal of care or motivation and activity so they should have a regular job to do as is their nature.

The pups have spent a busy time outdoors during the day around our sheep, including newborn lambs and chickens.

The puppies were born and have been raised in the paddock near the chickens so they are bonding to farm animals at an early age.

A Maremma pup takes time and patience to train a guardian dog and this does not happen overnight.

With time and training, you will be rewarded with an amazing dog and understand, that these dogs are instinctively different to a family pet, so, I would recommend researching first to make sure this is the puppy for you.

They have beautiful temperaments and are easy to handle and at this early stage, they all show wonderful promise to fulfill their breed's task of guarding livestock, with the continued process for further training.

With socialisation, you would need work to maintain their instinct or to have space or an opportunity for these dogs to work for you, and they love to protect.
