Due to an initial delay and then the original expected owner relocating overseas, Reggie is available again for only the best home. He is a black and tan smooth haired mini dachshund carrying chocolate, longhair and pied, PRA clear. He is mocrochipped.
At just eighteen months old he is very affectionate and has lovely strong personality. He may take a little time to be confident with new people simply because he is no longer a puppy, but this should not be an issue.
Reggie is used to being outside during the day and in at night.
Reggie has had the unitial three vaccinations,l and is wormed as per protocol and is flea free. He has not been desexed.
It is important to understand that dachshunds are very people dependant and do not happily cope with long hours alone.Another dog for company is a plus for the times you are out. If you are a family that is away from home most days then this is not the breed for you.
Reggie has not had unteraction with children but I would expect him to enjoy their company greatly provided the children are supervised well and are gentle and thoughtful around the dog, allowing him time to bond with them. He will also require time to adjust to a new environment and other dogs. He has not had much interaction with cats.
