The Sphynx cat breed, also known as the Canadian Hairless cat, is a relatively new breed that originated in the 1960s. The breed’s history began with the birth of a hairless kitten named Prune in Toronto, Canada. Prune was crossed with his mother, which produced more hairless kittens, and thus began the process of creating a new breed.
