Welcome to COPPERWIREY Kennels, Victorian based breeders of Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas.
We are pleased to announce that our beautiful dam Copper has recently given birth to her second litter of 10 healthy puppies, born on the 13th of October 2023.
These puppies will be available for rehoming in early-mid December.
Expressions of interest would be appreciated promptly so we can add to our growing list of potential owners, and ensure that each puppy is carefully matched with new families!
What sort of enrichment activities do your animals and litters have?
Outside play, interaction with all age groups including children, toys, enrichment activities such as snuffle mats, lick mats and more.
How do you socialise your animals?
Our pups are socialised with all age groups especially children, they are exposed to other (vaccinated) dogs, and sheep, chickens and rabbits from a distance. They are exposed to many household noises as well as “scary” sounds like fireworks or thunder to desensitise them to this.
What health checks have you undertaken on your breeding animals and your litters?
Our breeding animals are up to date with vaccinations, worming and annual health checks, and during pregnancy are regularly monitored and checked by a licensed vet in order to maintain their best health. All puppies are vet checked at 6 and 8 weeks, vaccinated and worked every two weeks since birth.
What comes with your take home packs for your litters?
Each new puppy owner receives a toy, collar and lead for their puppy, as well as an extensive information pack with information regarding crate training, toilet training, health checks, grooming and more. Each puppy owner also receives the next worming/flea/tick treatment dose for their pup.

At COPPERWIREY, we strive to produce healthy, confident dogs that represent their breed standard. Our goal is to improve the quality and diversity of the HWV breed in Australia, and to ensure that all of our pups live to their fullest potential.
What other information would you like your buyers to know
Aptitude (personality) tests are carried out on each COPPERWIREY pup at seven weeks of age, to ensure that they are matched with compatible families or individuals. This process allows both us as breeders, and the potential puppy owners to be certain the pups are homed appropriately. At COPPERWIREY, a strong emphasis is placed on exposing pups to various stimuli during critical periods in their development, in order to create a sense of resilience and confidence in each pup. Both parents hip and elbow scores are high, and they have been health and DNA tested, and are clear of all hereditary diseases including HUU.
