Miniature Dachshunds are smaller versions of Dachshunds and usually weigh around 5 kilos. They may be small but they're lively and alert, and can even be good watchdogs. They're also intelligent and affectionate and can bond very strongly with their owners so they make good forever companions. Grooming is fairly easy for Dachshunds as their coats are short and only need to be brushed.
